AND ROOF TYPES

A VELUX ROOF

A VELUX ROOF

A velux loft conversion is constructed within the apex of the existing roof space, without the addition of a dormer. A suspended floor is fitted and velux windows added to allow natural light into the loft. If your looking to create extra space in your home without adding a dormer and keep in fitting with the original roof, then this is the loft conversion for you.

HIP TO GABLE LOFT COVERSION

A hip-to-gable loft conversion is constructed on a semi detached, detatched or end of terrace house with a hipped roof. The existing roof is extended to meet the gable end. The gable wall is then built up to meet the new roofline. The new gable is usually built up in brick, or rendered/pebbledashed to match the existing gable wall. Once the new roof line has been built, a dormer is built on the rear of the property.
